What this site collects
Nothing. There is no analytics script, no tracking pixel, no advertising tag and no embedded content from another company. The fonts are served from this site rather than from a font network, so loading a page here does not tell anyone else that you did.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser — no local storage, no session storage, no identifiers of any kind. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
What your browser sends anyway
Every request to every website carries your IP address, the page you asked for, the time, and a line identifying your browser. Whoever hosts this site may keep those in server logs for a period, in the ordinary way, to keep the site running and to investigate abuse.

Search and filters
The search on the home page and the filters in the destinations gallery put your choices in the page address — that is why you can bookmark a filtered list or send it to someone. The filtering itself happens in your browser. Nothing about it is recorded here.
When you write to us
None of the forms here submit to this website. The contact form and the booking form assemble what you typed into a WhatsApp message and open it, unsent, in your own WhatsApp — you read it and press send yourself. Nothing reaches us, or anyone, until you do.
Once you send it, the message travels through WhatsApp and is subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy, not this one. It arrives in the ordinary WhatsApp account of the guide who runs this site.
We keep those conversations for as long as it takes to plan and run your trip and to keep a record of what was agreed, then no longer. Ask us to delete a conversation and we will.
The newsletter
The signup box in the footer works the same way as the forms: it puts your address into a WhatsApp message for you to send. There is no mailing-list service behind it — the address sits in that conversation, and the journal goes out from the same account. Say the word and you are off the list.
Links to other sites
Where we link outward — the visa portal, WhatsApp, our Tripadvisor listing, the licence for the photographs — those sites have their own policies and we have no control over them.
Children
This is a general travel site, not directed at children, and it collects nothing from anyone.
Your rights
Because we hold nothing about you beyond a conversation you chose to start, there is usually nothing to request, correct or erase. If you have written to us and want that conversation deleted, ask and it will be.
This site is run by Iraq Journey, a private guiding company based in Baghdad. It is not a government body and has no official affiliation; nothing here is issued on behalf of any ministry.

Changes to this policy
If the site starts doing something it does not do today — measuring visits, taking payments, storing bookings on a server — this page changes before that goes live, and the date at the top changes with it.
